The Ithaca Generator Print Shop is equipped for hands-on, manual printing with both letterpress and screenprinting capabilities.

Our Challenge letterpress is ideal for printing broadsides, posters, and even zines. With a rich collection of antique wood and metal type, you can set type by hand—or carve your own images into linoleum or wood blocks to create fine art prints with texture and presence. Our screenprinting station features a four-head, four-platen press with micro-adjustment for precision printing.

We offer sleeve platens and paper platens to support a wide range of projects. Whether you’re printing a single shirt or a production run of a few hundred, our conveyor belt dryer and spot-setter help you cure your work professionally and prepare it for sale or exhibition.

The print shop also houses a variety of supporting tools for print and paper arts—including an industrial paper cutter, light bookbinding equipment, framing tools, and other miscellaneous supplies to help you finish and present your work.
